Our Annual Indo-Caribbean Women's Empowerment Summits

Picture

In 2007,  before Jahajee Sisters was born, we held the first Indo-Caribbean Women's Empowerment Summit. At that event, attended by women and girls of all ages, it became clear that sustained work to address gender injustice in our community was needed. This is how Jahajee Sisters came to be. Since then, we established our Summits as an annual event.

Every year, our two-day Summit brings out hundreds of community members to celebrate Indo-Caribbean women, learn about gender justice, strategize about solutions, and become part of our movement for change.
