2016 Indo-Caribbean Women's Empowerment Summit

Picture
The purpose of the 2016 Summit was to engage in dialogue with Indo-Caribbean women and gender nonconforming people who are interested in stepping into leadership in our community and enacting positive change and transformation, particularly advocating for an end to gender injustice.

Attendees were able to network and build with other courageous and powerful Indo-Caribbeans who care about making a difference in Richmond Hill. We discussed our stories and exchanged brilliant ideas about how we can collectively map a brighter future for our community. And, we came to the realization that by continuing to convene in like minded spaces with like minded people, and by working together, we can make the greatest impact.
